“What is this thing called life?”
(walt kowalski, gran torino)
12:38 am.
well. just finished watching the movie, gran torino. it was basically filmed in MI. at first i thought that the story was about a gran torino car being stolen by some asian gang. hahahaha oh dude. i was all wrong.
but the storyline was great. thats my impression. the story was about a grumpy old man living alone and was having a hard time dealing with all the issues of his life. till he finally reached out with his hmong neighbors and developed a friendship with the kids. well. its a tragedy. he gave up his life so that those hmong kids could live in peace.
wow. its a story of a friendship. its a story of a deeper friendship. a story of a diverse culture. a story of reconciling some issues with the past and being healed in the present which paved way for the future. how he gave up his own life for his hmong friends showed me total selflessness. for me, its a good movie. its worth my time somehow.
but what was fun to note was the culture of the hmongs. i learned more about them through this movie. interesting people indeed. of course.
today the parking was almost full. there were lots of people shopping. they’re all excited for the independence day weekend. for the park thing. fireworks, picnics and barbecue.
and the museum was busy too. well. they all swarm over to get their stuff together for the fourth of july.
there are so many people in the house now. well for the past days. some people from back home came for a visit, right? and the good thing is, all of them cook. well. the good news is i have always fresh lunch food. hahahaha they cook a lot, dude. and its like they dont stop cooking stuff. all the time. hahahaha
i brought some leche flan to the museum today. not for my dessert though. but i would like to let Love try it. but she didnt like the caramel after-taste. hahahaha but i know she’ll love the brazos de mercedes. i hope. hope these bunch of chefs out here now make one. LOL
you know how in the really busy times, bruce would stand near the door. he’s like in a security guard mode always. hahaha and a regular lady customer was like, hey bruce stop standing there like a thug. hahahahahaha and bruce was like i got you. hahahaha of course Love and i had the usual glances. we just cant stop laughing. of course behind bruce’s back. hahahaha bruce bloopers just make my day. always.
there were a couple customers with the really bad attitude today. and that sucks. die, bitches! LOL
hey Love, rewrite your hate list now. hahahaha and run them over. and back it up and run them over again. and again. hahaha
im out.
1:00 am.
“…You could say I lost my sense of direction
You could say all of this and worse, but
If I ever lose my faith in you
There’d be nothing left for me to do”
